Progress continues toward securing critical electricity generation capacity with decision by New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board has approved NB Power’s Renewable Integration Grid Stability project, securing up to 100 megawatts of fast-acting generation capacity for Nova Scotia as the province works to strengthen grid reliability and expand renewable energy.
Federal decisions received on urgently needed fast-acting electricity generation projects
IESO Nova Scotia has received federal decisions confirming that proposed fast-acting generation facilities in Marshdale and Salt Springs do not require additional federal assessment, clearing an important step in efforts to strengthen grid reliability as the province transitions away from coal.
