IESO Nova Scotia is a new, independent, non-profit organization that will be responsible for the planning and reliable operation of Nova Scotia’s bulk electricity system. Starting in 2025, IESO Nova Scotia is taking on its responsibilities of planning and management from Nova Scotia Power in a phased way over the next two years. This includes running the integrated resource planning processes, executing transmission planning activities, managing interconnection processes, overseeing procurement of energy resources and services, system operations, and the transition to clean energy in a fair and transparent way.
